This Pittsburgh Home Has Incredible Woodwork

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I thought the WOODwork and STAINED glASS in this Pittsburgh home was NICE and it was owned by the manager of the Joseph Horne’s Department Store (is that a Pittsburgh thing? Never heard of it) and is currently listed for only $225,000?? I couldn’t tell if there was a Pittsburgh Toilet in the basement but if it doesn’t have one we could easily add!! Who wants to split it with me???

Why did they stop making craftsman homes? They are so nice!

Step inside and you are immediately hit with the gorgeous wood. I love that green door, it reminds me of mint chocolate chip, which is of course the best ice cream flavor.

This living area is gorgeous and the stained glass windows are to die for.

Another angle of the living room and stairs.

There really is wood everywhere! And I love that circle mirror. As the great Samir says, “there has never been a better time in history to be a circle mirror.”

I love those iron doors!

The kitchen granite countertops is an interesting choice – and one I think goes well with this home! I love the arches too.

Another cozy living room area with stained glass windows.

Let’s go upstairs! Again – more stained glass.

One of the bedrooms. The ceilings are gorgeous.

A bathroom. Nice tilework!

I believe this is the master/primary suite!

The basement! From what I understand there IS a Pittsburgh toilet down there.

The back of the house. We could definitely use a proper driveway.

Who wants to split it with me???

A delightful surprise awaits inside! Originally designed and lived in by the manager of Joseph Horne’s Department Store, this home is a masterpiece of timeless craftsmanship. It features stunning woodwork, ceramic tile, stained glass, and iron filigree doors imported from Italy. The light-filled sunroom leads to a cozy living room with stained glass windows flanking the fireplace. The dining room boasts a gorgeous chandelier, large light-filled windows, and ample space for gathering. A bonus room off the dining area opens to the outdoors through iron doors. The updated kitchen blends original tilework with new cabinets and countertops, while the eat-in nook shines with stained glass accents. Upstairs, three bedrooms feature preserved wood details, and the bathroom retains its original tile. A staircase off the 3rd br leads to a bonus room. Outside, enjoy a patio, beautiful landscaping, and a parking pad. New front door, retaining wall, kitchen, windows throughout!
