John Goodman’s Long Time New Orleans Home Lists For $5,450,000

John Goodman’s long time New Orleans home that he bought in 2005, which was owned by Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor before him, just went on the market for $5,450,000.

This celebrity owned New Orleans home technically falls under #zgwCHURCHSUNDAYS rules because John Goodman is Eli Gemstone and honestly I feel like I need to do some kind of home tour in New Orleans because they may just have my favorite architecture in America with their Italianate Greek Revival style. This one was built in 1850 and has a mansion must have: ancient Crepe Myrtles!!!! Currently listed for only $5,450,000

Let’s take a look inside John Goodman’s home!!

But first, the outside. The italianiate-greek revival home sits on a .29 acre lot! I had no idea they have palm trees in Louisiana??

Inside you are greeted with an amazing sitting area and a grand foyer. I love the idea of seats next to the entry of a home. You come home, you are tired. Why not take a seat?

Which way should we go from the foyer?

How about to the formal living room! Complete with nice fireplace. This place was built in 1850 – thats 175 years ago wowzers! Think of all the history here.

The wood floors in the dining room are amazing. I low key like a circular dining table too – no one at the head of the table is good in my book. Or is it?

The kitchen is huge and spacious – I love that island!

The master bedroom suite is also large with a fireplace.

I love that tub – it looks like it’s made from a single piece of porcelaine. IS it?

I love this little cozy library!

and this reading nook. My kingdom for a reading nook!

The back of the house is rounded out with a nice pool and hot tub, although I don’t think you’d need it with how hot New Orleans is!
